Kinga Burek

Kinga Burek-Domżalska (b. 1995) visual artist and art historian; graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and the Institute of Art History at the Jagiellonian University. Since 2023, she has been continuing her education at doctoral studies in the field of visual arts. The artist lives and works in Kraków
Winner of the Person of the Year 2020 title at the Kraków Art Salon; laureate of the 19th and 20th editions of the Hestia Artistic Journey; finalist of the 45th edition of the Bielska Jesień Painting Biennale 2021; honored at the LOOSTRO 16th Autumn Art Salon BWA in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski 2023; winner of the Marian Sokołowski Award for the best master's thesis in art history at IHS UJ 2023 (master's thesis topic: "Turning fiction into fiction and reality into fiction" Surrealist aspects of Andrzej Pawłowski's art from the perspective of Bruno Schulz's short stories"); laureate of the Young Art Compass 2024 and 2025.
