Zuza Dolega

Zuzanna Seweryna Dolega (Zuza Dolega) – born in 1990 in Gdynia. She works with pyrography, drawing, collage, poetry, art installations, textiles, and analog projections.
Graduate, PhD, assistant professor, and assistant at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.
Since 2012, she has specialized in the technique of pyrography, which she combines mainly with paper art, artistic textiles, and site-specific installations. In her creative research, she is also interested in subjects in fields such as neuroaesthetics and synesthesia in art.
Participant of many national and international exhibitions, and artistic and research projects. Her works have been presented and are in collections in, among others, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Macedonia, Turkey, Tunisia, Japan, China, Australia, Argentina, and Ecuador. Member of the prestigious international association of paper artists IAPMA. Laureate of scholarships and awards, including the City of Gdańsk Award for Young Creators in the Field of Culture for 2020 and the Paper Positions Berlin 2025 award for the best female paper artist.
She conducts workshops, presentations, and lectures in the field of collage. She actively cooperates with culture and art centers, such as: GAK Plama, Gdańsk City Gallery, Halo Kultura, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Wikimedia Poland, History Meeting House, House of Literature in Gdańsk, FINA, Praga Culture House, CCA Łaźnia, Museum of Gdańsk, and the Museum of the Second World War.
In her free time – a runner, dog lover, and allotment gardener.
