Aleksandra Kujawska

Aleksandra Kujawska u2014 sculptor and glass designer. For the past 6 years, she has been living and working permanently in the Tricity, initially in Gdynia Oru0142owo, currently in Sopot. After years of visiting several times a year, she decided to move her life here permanently. Strong ties to the Baltic Sea meant that it was here, 20 years ago during an important family celebration on the beach in Sopot, that she began thinking about moving her life here permanently. She succeeded 6 years ago.
She graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Cieplice u015alu0105skie-Zdru00f3j, majoring in artistic glass under the supervision of glass sculptor Wu0142adysu0142aw Czyszczou0144. The harsh landscape of the Karkonosze Mountains, her art education, and boarding school life shaped her distinctive creative language u2014 minimalist, organic, and strongly inspired by nature.
She also studied Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw and acting at Lart Studio in Krakow. She then completed her master's, postgraduate, and doctoral studies at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocu0142aw, specializing in glass sculpture and design.
In her works, she explores the relationships between humans and nature, biological memory, and the need for community. Her glass sculptures combine the rawness of natural forms with the modern language of sculpture and design.
The artist has presented her works in exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including during The Venice Glass Week, Venice Design Week, and the u0141u00f3du017a Design Festival. She is a winner and finalist of numerous competitions related to art and design, such as Dobry Wzu00f3r, Must Have, and Diament Meblarstwa. Her works are in private and museum collections, including the National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Wrocu0142aw, and the Karkonosze Museum.
